Ethos and CPD

Ethos

Translation is a skill. A skill that is borne out of talent and practice. Speed is essential, but quality is fundamental. At Robinson Translations the emphasis is placed firmly on quality.

Get it done right, get it done once

Before commencing a project, “needs analysis” concerning the purpose of the text, the intended readership of the text, along with the place and time of reception of the text, is completed in concert with the client. This way, both client and translator can be confident that the translated project will achieve the desired needs and expectations. In addition, each project undergoes textual discourse analysis, involving thorough background research to maintain style and consistency of terminology, dynamic translation of meaning (not just words), as well as critical proofreading.
